A bit of history
El Canalla has 14 Libertadores campaigns under its belt, with semifinals in 1975 and 2001, plus a 1995 Copa CONMEBOL. A neighborhood club with more than 100,000 members.
Fun fact
The Canalla nickname dates to the 1920s and was born from a dispute with archrivals Newell's. They play at the Gigante de Arroyito, built in 1926, which averaged over 41,000 fans in 2024.
