“Mirassol took it all the way to penalties in the round of 16, and that's where LDU de Quito ended the dream.”

A bit of history
The prettiest story in the Copa: a hundred-year-old club from a town of 65,000, with the smallest budget in the 2025 Serie A, reaching the 16 best in the Americas on its first-ever Libertadores.
Fun fact
They are called the Leão and their ground, the Maião, dates to 1925 and holds 19,000. There they won all three group games without conceding. A whole town pushing.
Why follow them
Rafael Guanaes brings intense, European-inspired pressing, with Klopp as his stated reference. Reinaldo, the 36-year-old fullback and captain, is the penalty taker.
